Are you planning to go shopping for clothes but your budget is pretty limited to some pieces only? In this time when even a simple $10 dollar undergarment seems like a stretch, better shop for something that you know won’t go out of the style in a shortest time possible and that you can recycle or wear them again in the next couple of years or more. If you’re looking for prom dresses, don’t go for something extravagant. Look for something formal yet elegant and that you can wear in a normal social gathering or a cocktail party. It can be a short black dress or something colorful but not too long nor pompous. These kinds of prom dresses are usually cheaper and recyclable in some ways. A lot of affordable prom dresses are sold online, in bargain stores and in some not so costly stalls in the mall. Remember you are not just going to buy for a gown; you also need shoes and jewelry. The good thing with fashion, they keep on repeating itself so most of the trends keep coming back after some time. They say the 80’s are making their big comeback nowadays, skinny jeans and tight leggings, the loose top and of course boots! If you think you have some clothes left out in your closets, bring them on and try to create a look of your own. Well, we all know that the current trend this fall is dark colors so try to buy grab some of those in the bargain store. It is also advisable to do your shopping on time. Don’t try to do impulse buying and don’t maximize the use of your credit card. When shopping, look for those clothes worn by mannequins because they definitely make good combinations. You can also ask the advice of people who know fashion more than you. Take time to fit the clothes and see if they fit you perfectly. Some mirrors in the dressing area can be deceiving, so be extra careful with colors. If you’re buying pants take note of those fabric that are fitting, if they’re skinny jeans avoid too tight and too long. Make sure that the clothes will not create bulges and would reveal your natural curves or shapes. Don’t buy clothes when you’re in a hurry. Take time to deliberately choose your clothing. You may not have an extra free time to go back to the mall and return the merchandise.

Men, unlike women are not really fond of jewelry except for some folks who like to flaunt their gold necklaces with big pendants. The rest of the guys that I know of, spend mostly their money for extravagant watches, shoes and of course in leisure and hobbies. Most guys are too busy with work that they almost have no time for shopping. Their wives or partners then take pride in getting them what they need to make them look decent and fashionable. It’s more like of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s previous relationship, since the woman is a fashion savvy, there’s no way you would be seeing Tom underdressed in any social event especially in red carpet and movie premiere. On the other hand, since men’s jewelry is limited only to watches they have the tendency to buy the best and sometimes to collect the best, state of the art, sporty and expensive ones. Rolex watches are one of them since they are known for its classic beauty, elegance and timepiece itself. Rolex mens president, as featured by some celebrities like Sean Connery in James Bond movie and Paul Newman are among the most sought mens president watches of all time.

She was originally a character in the L. Frank Baum’s novel ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ and reappears in most of its sequels. Because of the classic 1939 movie adaptation of the book she is often now thought of as wearing a blue and white checked gingham dress and her hair in pigtails.
In the movie Dorothy was played by Judy Garland. Garland was sixteen years old and played the part with a brace on her chest to keep the young look. She has become an icon for many sections of society not least of all the gay and lesbian fraternity. This status has raised both Judy Garland and Dorothy to a level above many other ‘superstars’ and they are both cherished equally for many reasons but mainly because of this conjunction of actress and film role.
The easily recognisable outfit has become a blueprint for the wizard of oz fancy dress. The typical outfit described above is quite often substituted for any pale blue material dress with an ever shortening skirt.
Always though with pigtails! The concept of film fancy dress was never easier than this!
With Halloween coming up it has to be a firm favourite for one of your ladies Halloween costumes.
The options for a girl wanting to achieve this timeless look are many and varied. One could search the second hand and charity shops for the near perfect dress to start with and then use those finely honed dressmaking skills to bring it up to the standard Dorothy fancy dress costume.
Or one could just hit the web and do a search for Dorothy costume and the choice is extensive – from knee length gingham with a white bib to a very short sexy Dorothy outfit ready for some serious fun out with the girls (or boys!).

Hair extensions have become a staple tool for fashion nowadays as people have decided that the hair is more than just a part of the body, but it demands attention and it can easily command attraction. Right now, many brands of wigs and hair extensions are getting a lot of profit from the people that are really conscious with how they look, and from people that love to imitate their favorite celebrities. It is also one way to look really unique in the eyes of the public… take Lady Gaga for instance. She has always been using wigs and hair extensions ever since she started appearing in the mainstream. She always tries to make sure that at some point, she would always look different no matter what. Bulk human hair is what she usually uses but of course, there are times when she would just have a short hair for her performances. On this note, remy hair is one good source if you want to get some good extensions for your head. Remy extensions have always been great with quality hair products and they simply give the best looking hair extensions. They offer all types of style, length and feel, which makes them a one stop shop for all hair extension needs.

When it comes to choosing what kind of prom dress to wear, are there any criteria to follow? The best prom dresses before usually were full length with sleeves or an exact picture of a conservative and demure gown fitted for princes. Considering today’s fashion, they have changed dramatically from the conservative to more daring and bold designs. What’s in the trend are dresses and gowns that are usually backless or with side cut outs to emphasize someone’s curve or plunging necklines to high slits. Now, are they really too sexy for a normal teen ager who is going to attend a high school prom? Some parents are adamant to this kind of fashion revolution. They think that the society has gone too much of the worse, and that clothes are getting skimpier every other day. This is one of the most common causes of generation gap, that still up to now the old are finding it hard to accept. I remember attending my prom with a long two piece old rose gown like few years ago because my mom didn’t allow me to wear something revealing. It was even custom made, with her favorite designer and of course under her guidance and expertise when it comes to choosing what’s best for me. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t have any bad feelings about her interfering with my prom. I was able to make it, I enjoyed the night and I was able to go home safe and sound and definitely with a smile on my face. Now, it’s my cousins’ turn for the big event and it’s quite normal for them to ask my advice for their clothes because their parents think that what they want is either too modern or sexy. So here comes my advice to them. Short prom dresses don’t necessarily mean sexy, daring or skimpy. In fact, they can be more sophisticated yet elegant. They can be too modern yet just fashionable. Teens may find it hard to accept that you are reprimanding them of what clothes to wear or think that you’re getting in the way of making them feel less fashionable in their much awaited night. You don’t have to feed them what’s not good nor daring by giving them commands or threats but you have to instill in their minds the virtue of simplicity and elegance. Go shop with them, encourage their ideas but then don’t be too pushy. Remember it’s their turn now to shine, not yours.
